Tyler Cameron Reveals His Next Project After Leaving ‘DWTS’Sometimes, heightened emotions can lead to a misstep. And Tyler Cameron will be the first to admit he didn’t put his best foot forward while receiving the scores for his and Sharna Burgess’ Viennese waltz during the Oct. 27 episode of Dancing With the Stars, which proved to also serve as the pair’s elimination night. “Y'all saw a real human moment out of me,” Cameron said alongside Burgess in a TikTok shared after the episode. “Not my proudest moment when I was upstairs getting my scores. I thought we were done filming, and I was like needed to step away from it all. I was disappointed in myself.” The moment in question saw a visibly frustrated Cameron try to leave the camera’s line of sight after he and Burgess received a total score of 26 out of 40. (In addition to Cameron and Burgess, Jackson Olson and Emma Slater were also eliminated during the episode.) The Bachelor Nation alum—who had been among the lowest scoring pairs throughout the last weeks of season 35—explained he understood that if he and Burgess didn’t get a high score for the Dracula-inspired dance, they’d be eliminated. “It was boom or bust at that point,” he said, “and it was bust in my head and I felt like I let myself down. More importantly, I thought I let Sharna down and it was hard.” Burgess, however, explained she felt that Cameron’s technical errors called out by the judges weren’t as bad as they’d implied. Plus, as she noted, the pair received the evening’s highest score for a ballroom dance from the famously hard to please Shirley Ballas, who was acting as guest judge.Disney/Christopher Willard“I need you to know that what you achieved was incredible,” Burgess insisted. “You didn't let anyone down. It was a tough night. For whatever reason, they were tough on you. They've been tough on you. Last week, you should have got higher scores, too.” Watching back their spooky performance, however, the 41-year-old emphasized to Cameron she was “insanely proud.” But he wasn’t ready to dance around the moment in the ballroom’s skybox. “I was extremely disappointed,” he explained. “I was heartbroken, and that was just real and raw. And this show’s a pressure cooker. And all I wanted to do was score well and crush it and move on to the next week because this has been the most incredible experience.”Eric McCandless/DisneyAnd despite the disappointing ending, the 33-year-old—who used his Dedication Night performance to announce he and fiancée Tate Madden are expecting a baby—affirmed he’s proud of what he left on the dance floor. “It was one of the greatest rides of my life,” he acknowledged, adding to his partner, “And you're a huge part of that. And I can't thank you enough.” As for Burgess, the feeling is more than mutual.“This season, you started off as a dance partner. You turned into a friend, and now you and Tate have turned into family,” she said. “This is a win for me, and I do not say this to every partner. This is not something I say lightly. I love you guys.” As for those still hoping to it’ll be their two to that will tango all the way to the Mirrorball Trophy at the end of season 35, read on.
