Suresh, Senior Assistant to the Minister for Prohibition and Excise, K. Vignesh, Virudhunagar District Crime Branch registered a case on Friday (July 31, 2026) for criminal conspiracy and cheating.The complainant said Prashant Uthaman, hailing from Coimbatore, had claimed he had close proximity to several State Ministers and could help in getting a transport contract in TASMAC. Upon his instruction, Sathish Kumar and Karthikeyan had taken money from Soundararajan.The money to the tune of ₹22 lakh had been transferred to different bank accounts.
