Two schoolgirls, 11 & 12, ‘abducted’ from UK village as three women among six arrested

NewsUK News COPS have arrested six people after two girls were allegedly abducted over the weekend. Three men aged 25, 62, and 42, were arrested on suspicion of abduction along with three women aged 56, 75, and 47. Cops said all of those arrested are known to the girls, who were found yesterday. The kids, aged 11 and 12, were last spotted in the Newbold area of Rugby in the early hours of Sunday morning. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Warwickshire Police confirmed they were found safe and well yesterday. Chief Superintendent Jon Belcher said: “After extensive investigations, our colleagues at Devon and Cornwall Police who were acting on our behalf found the girls safe and well yesterday. “We have been investigating how these girls came to be in Cornwall, and we have progressed our enquiries today with these six arrests. “The people who are currently in custody are all known to the girls so there was and is no wider threat to the community. “Over the coming days, officers will be out and about in the community and in areas of interest, speaking to the community and conducting house-to-house enquiries. “If you have any concerns, please talk with them.” Most read in The Sun A statement added: “Detectives investigating the disappearance of two girls from Rugby, who were found yesterday, have arrested six people. “In the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 12 August, we arrested two men, aged 62 and 25 and one woman, aged 56, from Tintagel, Cornwall, on suspicion of abduction. “A Falmouth man, aged 42, was also arrested on suspicion of abduction. “And later on this morning we arrested two women, aged 75 and 47, from Rugby on suspicion of abduction. “They all remain in custody at this time.”
