Two paramedics attacked after ambulance flagged down by ‘angry’ man ‘swearing at public’ – as suspect in 60s arrested

TWO paramedics were attacked after an “angry” man flagged down their ambulance and began swearing at members of the public. The man became agitated and assaulted paramedics who tried to calm him down. A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of assault and police are appealing for witnesses of the assault. Avon and Sumerset Police said: “The offender is described as a white male, around 60 years old, of stocky build, who is bald, and has grey stubble. He is around 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a pink polo shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident. “A man, in his sixties, has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and a public order offence and has been released on bail while enquiries continue. “Anybody who can assist with our enquiries is asked to call us on 101 quoting 5226249636 or complete our online appeals form.
