Two men in their 40s killed in horror late night crash between van and motorbike

TWO men have been killed after a crash between a van and a motorcycle near a seaside holiday hotspot. Emergency services raced to just outside Truro in Cornwall after reports of the collision just before 11pm yesterday. The motorcycle rider and the van driver, both men in their 40s, were pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries. The road remains closed closed while the police investigate the causes of the crash. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Officers have urged anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision on the B3288 near Truro. “Officers were called at around 10.50pm on Monday 20 July 2026 to reports of the collision involving a black Citroen Dispatch van and a red Yamaha R1 Motorcycle at the junction of the B3288 and an unnamed road between Zelah and Shortlanesend. “Sadly, both the motorcycle rider and the van driver sustained fatal injuries and were both pronounced deceased at the scene. “Both were men aged in their 40s, with the motorcycle rider from the Penzance area and the van driver from East Yorkshire. “An investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the collision.
