Collyer endured an injury-plagued 2025-26 on loan at second tier West Brom and Hull, making one start at the latter. United signed Collyer from Brighton’s academy in 2022 and he made his debut in the 2024 Community Shield. Since that outing at Wembley, Collyer has made only seven career starts and his three for United were against Barnsley, Rangers and Steaua Bucharest in League Cup and Europa League games. Collyer has not started for United since the win in Bucharest in January 2025. Meanwhile, Harry Amass’s United future hinges on whether the club sign a left back in the final days of the window. Amass, 19, spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City in the second tier but has not made a competitive appearance since January due to a hamstring injury. Amass, who joined United from the Watford academy in 2023, has made four starts for the club and the last of those was in May 2025. Collyer and Amass are both out of contract next year but United have the option to trigger one-year extensions in each deal. Comment now
