Two killed in crash between truck and car on State Highway 29 in Waikato

Two people have died in a crash involving a truck and car in Karapiro around 6am.The Serious Crash Unit and other emergency services are still working at the scene between the intersection of SH27 and SH1 Karapiro.State Highway 29 in the Waikato is shut completely from Hinuera to Piarere.Diversions are in place and vehicles are being turned around as the highway is expected to remain closed for most of the day.Motorists should take alternative routes or delay travel.Both lanes of SH29 around the crash site were blockedNZTA Waka Kotahi
