Two inmates in Harris County Jail custody died recently, including one outsourced to Louisiana
The deaths were the first to be reported since January by the Harris County Sheriff's Office, which operates the downtown Houston jail. Earlier this year, the jail was found to be in compliance with Texas' minimum standards for the first time in longer than a year.
