Most read in TV Sophie and Jordan have been open about their gruelling fertility journey over the years. They tried naturally to conceive for over two years before Sophie was eventually diagnosed with endometritis. After trying a few different treatment options, they announced they were expecting a baby back in December. While Sophie was seven months pregnant, Jordan was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis. He was left bed-bound for a month and told The Sun how he couldn’t walk, talk or get his speech out. Doctors prepared him for the worst at the time, telling him he could be facing brain cancer. “The doctors were totally incredible but they have to give you the worse-case scenario. “And when the doctor comes into a hospital room and you’ve got your seven-month pregnant girlfriend there and your dad, and the doctor says, ‘we can’t rule out brain cancer’, that was hands down the worst day of mine and my family’s entire life.” Jordan came home from the hospital just weeks before Sophie gave birth to Brody and has been working hard to be there for them both, despite the “never-ending hell” he went through. The new spin-off shows come as the 38th series of TOWIE commenced on August 2. Comment now
