TWO children have been killed and two adults are in critical condition after a horror plane crash in California. A single engine aircraft went down near the Sierra Sky Park Airport in Fresno, just before 2pm on Saturday. There were four people on board the plane – two children and two adults. The two children were pronounced dead at the scene while the adults were taken to hospital for critical injuries. Power was briefly knocked out from nearby homes, but this has since been restored, according to PG&E’s outage page. The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed it has launched a probe into the fatal crash. The agency said the victims were in a Grumman American Avn. Corp. AA-5 airplane, a four-seat, single-engine aircraft. In a statement on social media, he said: “‘This is a rare and tragic situation in northwest Fresno, my immediate concern is for the survivors of this heart wrenching situation.” It comes just hours after two pilots were killed in a shocking jet crash during an air show in Greece. The Hellenic Air Force F-4 Phantom crashed behind a hill close to the airfield, watched by several thousand spectators near Athens. The aircraft had taken off just minutes earlier before it lost altitude and crashed, said a journalist from public broadcaster ERT who was at the scene.
