TVS Apache RTX 300 long term review | A comfortable tourer

Model: BTOTest Started: July 2026/6,000kmCurrent ODO reading: 6,035Mileage this month: 35kmEfficiency this month: 33kmplThis is the second installment of our long-term review of the TVS Apache RTX 300. We’ve now ridden it for almost 1,000km around the city and on the highway, giving us a better understanding of what it is like to live with every day. Around the city, the RTX 300 feels right at home. The upright riding position, comfortable seat and light handling make it an excellent daily commuter. Filtering through traffic is easy, and the motorcycle never feels bulky. The 41mm upside-down forks and rear monoshock absorb potholes and broken roads with ease, keeping the ride comfortable. Out on the highway, the RTX 300 remains stable and comfortable for long hours in the saddle. Cruise control is genuinely useful on long, straight stretches, helping reduce fatigue. However, two issues stand out. Once you cross 100kmph, the windblast hitting your helmet becomes noticeable. The second is engine vibrations. Ride above 100kmph for long periods and you will feel constant buzzing through the handlebars, with the sensation lingering in your hands even after the ride ends. So far the RTX 300 has proven to be an excellent motorcycle for everyday use. It is comfortable, practical and easy to ride, especially in Delhi’s traffic conditions. For highway journeys, it is the happiest cruising between 80-90kmph. We’re yet to judge its luggage carrying ability, fuel efficiency on tours, and durability, but those answers will come soon enough.Subscribe to Auto Today Magazine - Ends
