Trump tells rally he was never attracted to either of his sisters as he blasts Ilhan Omar for allegedly marrying her brother

Donald Trump told supporters he was 'never particularly attracted' to either of his sisters in a bizarre rant at a Florida midterm rally. The president, 80, sparked ridicule as a clip of his speech in Daytona Beach on Friday night went viral, where Trump was attacking Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar over allegations that she married her brother. 'I did not marry my sister!' Trump told his supporters to laughter.'I had two lovely, lovely (sisters)' Trump continued. 'I have one left, Elizabeth, she's great. But I have never proposed to them.'They're beautiful, but I was never, I was never particularly attracted to either of them. It's not my deal.' Trump's sister Maryanne Trump Barry was a federal appeals judge on the United States Court of Appeals, and she died in November 2023 aged 86. His other sister Elizabeth Trump Grau is 84 and lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Little is known of Elizabeth, Trump's only living sibling, who remains out of the spotlight. She is known to have worked as a banker, and she was married to film producer James Grau until his death in 2023. Trump's remarks about his sisters were met with mockery online, with conservative commentator Richard Hanania responding on X: 'He's genuinely losing it.'Trump’s Florida rally is off to a great start:TRUMP: I did not marry my sister. Ilhan Omar accusing her of marrying her own brother. Omar, a Somali immigrant, has denied claims that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who she married in 2009 and divorced in 2017, was her brother, or that they married so her sibling could get a green card. The Department of Justice says it has opened a probe into the allegations, and federal agents executed a search warrant at her Washington DC home earlier this month. At the rally on Friday, Trump sarcastically dubbed Omar 'one of my favourite congresspeople', and said she was 'someone I have great respect for.'Trump was in Florida to campaign for a number of Republican candidates including Byron Donalds and Ashley Moody, who polls show are leading their races despite Democrats expecting a 'Blue wave' in the midterms. With Trump criss-crossing the nation for the GOP, the president briefly cancelled rallies in Kansas and Iowa over the weekend before they were rescheduled. Byron Donalds Speaking with a noticeably raspy voice at Friday's rally, Trump complained that he 'thought I could relax' after the event. 'Twenty-eight days in a row of this c**p is lot, it’s a lot. My voice is about operating at about 49.2%,' Trump said. But asked by a reporter on Friday if he was 'sick' of traveling, Trump snapped back and said he felt 'perfect', and told the reporter that they were the one who 'looked sick.''Oh, you're sick to ask that question. You are sick,' Trump laid into the Reuters reporter, asking him who he was with, and then labeling him a 'dope.' The 80-year-old president acknowledged that cancelling the events fueled speculation over his health, and he told the Florida rally that the media 'say I was seriously ill, that there's something wrong with me.'Republican congressman Randy Fine, one of Omar's colleagues in the US House of Representatives, used his appearance to launch an extraordinary broadside against Democrats and single out Omar, as well as Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Florida Republican Randy Fine, who is Jewish, said that his Muslim colleague Ilhan Omar should be kicked out of Congress 'Many of the Democrats in Congress, they hate America,' Fine told the rally crowd. 'It isn't that they have a different vision for this country. It is their goal to seek our destruction,' he added.Fine claimed Omar, Tlaib and Mamdani 'seek to overrun us with Third-World migrants who do not share our values or our faith, and who do not respect our heritage or our history.'He then vowed to file a motion to 'expel' Omar from Congress 'if the evidence shows' that she 'is not a citizen of the United States.'
