President Donald Trump’s staffers have ordered dinner from The Cheesecake Factory on a grim election night- meant to be a snide reference to Barack Obama’s insult about White House renovations. While campaigning for Democratic midterm candidates last month, the former president said Trump “got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Pete Doocy said that some White House officials were gathering in the East Room for a “viewing reception” as votes from Tuesday’s elections came in — and other staffers decided to order dinner from The Cheesecake Factory. Democrats need to flip four Senate seats and three House seats to win the majority as Trump desperately tries to hang on to control of Congress. While many races have yet to be called, Democrats did see some early wins, including Jon Ossoff keeping his Senate seat in Georgia and Roy Cooper gaining a Senate seat in North Carolina. MAGA supporters were up in arms over what they saw as an “elitist” dig from Obama about a restaurant chain that many Americans consider an upscale establishment. Obama has brushed off the uproar, making it clear he has no problem with The Cheesecake Factory and, in fact, it was his “jam for about a decade” while raising his two daughters. Marin Richardson, CEO of publicity firm Disrupt PR, previously told The Independent that the Trump-Obama feud over the Cheesecake Factory is a win for the chain. “Both sides are fighting over who loves it more,” Richardson said. “Most brands would pay a fortune for that.”While Trump’s staff is chowing down on oversized entrees and fancy cheesecake slices, the president is raging on Truth Social at an unlikely target — the conservative Fox News network. “The Fox News poll, always the worst, is so insulting with the questions they ask. Every question is a hit job, and every answer is ‘BULLS***!’ This has been going on for years,” Trump wrote Tuesday evening. When asked how they feel about the direction of the country, 38 percent said they were angry, 37 percent said they were dissatisfied, 18 percent said they were satisfied, and just 7 percent said they were enthusiastic.“Fox News ratings are way down (27%!) because they’re spending too much time covering the Trump Deranged Dumocrats! All of those people who used to watch Fox, and no longer do, get it. It’s them, not me — My numbers are better than they have ever been,” Trump insisted in a follow-up post.
