WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump renewed his threat to strike Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site as the seven-month war shows no sign of ending. "We may have to go there," Trump said in a Thursday night interview with Newsmax. "We'll take a shot at that one. We'll knock it out fast."Trump also said US ground troops were unlikely to take part in attacking the complex, saying "No, I don't see that. I don't see that."The Iranian government has previously described Pickaxe Mountain as a centrifuge assembly plant, but the lack of inspector access since its construction in 2020 has raised concerns it could be used for other covert purposes, such as uranium enrichment.
