Massive Fire Breaks Out At Delhi's Ghaffar Market; 22 Fire Tenders Rushed, No Casualties ReportedA massive fire broke out at a shop in Puri Plaza, 13 Block Chain Wali Gali, located in Delhi's Ghaffar Market in Karol Bagh. The Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call around 1:30 AM, after which more than 22 fire service units, water bowsers, and lighting equipment were deployed to bring the blaze under control. Firefighting operations continued for over seven hours as flames spread to adjacent shops in the dense commercial area. Narrow lanes, small shop sizes of 20 to 30 square feet, hanging overhead wires, and large quantities of inflammable electronic materials created major logistical challenges, preventing large vehicles from entering the alleys. Firefighters stationed heavy tenders on the main road hundreds of metres away and laid water pipes into the market. No casualties or injuries were reported as the incident occurred at night when the market was closed. An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin after cooling operations conclude.
