A close ally of US President Donald Trump, Graham was also a vocal critic of India’s purchases of Russian oil. In a 33-minute documentary titled The CLOSETocracy, released by The Young Turks, one of the men claims he was underage when he had a sexual encounter with Graham in 2001.The documentary features firsthand accounts from three men who allege that Graham paid them for sex. According to a press statement released by The Young Turks, the film “examines the contrast between his alleged private conduct and his longstanding political opposition to LGBTQ+ rights.”“My name is Kelvin, and I had sex with Lindsey Graham when I was 17,” one of the three men says in a clip, according to Yahoo.Kelvin goes on to say that he took up the work for a brief period because his family was so poor that they could not afford to buy him clothes. According to him, Graham contacted him through an escort site. "He wanted to be a little submissive to me and wanted me to be really direct and firm with him and explore kinky side to him that he was interested in exploring, just role play. The whole conversation was friendly, kind," Kelvin said, as reported by Yahoo.Kelvin recalled being called to then-US Senator John McCain’s ranch in Arizona, where Graham, then a senator from South Carolina, was staying as a guest. He went on to describe the encounter, saying the setting had frightened him. He described it as “very scary” and said it took place in an unfinished part of the house. Another man, who went by the name Cory, also came forward, claiming he was picked up in a black SUV and taken to a luxury hotel in Washington, DC, to spend the night with Graham. Cory said he initially did not know who the man was. It was only a few months later, when he saw him on television with the name “Lindsey Graham” displayed at the bottom of the screen, that he realised who he was, Yahoo reported.Graham, a close ally of Trump, criticised India for buying Russian oil after Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in 2022. He died in July this year at the age of 71. Graham had urged the US President to impose heavy tariffs and sanctions on countries such as India and China, accusing them of funding Moscow’s war effort with what he called “blood money.”- Ends
