If you've played any action game before, you'll be well-versed in true endings. They often require a specific set of tasks or missions to be completed, granting you an ending more satisfying than any other. S-Game's masterpiece, Phantom Blade Zero, is no different from this. To get the perfect ending, you need to complete a few steps and jump through a few hoops, and we've got a list of everything you need right here. How To Complete Every Step For Phantom Blade Zero's Perfect Ending Spoilers for steps to complete Phantom Blade Zero's true ending ahead. We won't spoil the ending, don't worry. Step 1: Complete All Lóng Pillars The Lóng Pillars provide some background on Soul. They explore his relationship with a mysterious masked figure that unfolds further with each Pillar you complete. There are five in total, and you can find their locations below: Pillar 1: Weeping Creek Valley Pillar 2: Crimson Forest Pillar 3: Meigu Lake Pillar 4: Meigu Lake Hidden Realm (After collecting all four Acolyte Masks, listed in Step 2 below, sail to the West of Meigu Lake and dock at the snowy area. Head to the back and enter a Hidden Realm; there is a Pillar here) Pillar 5: Crimson Manor (See how to gain access below) Step 2: Unlock The Secrets At The Heart Of The Lake Mission Unlocking and completing this side quest is vital to the Perfect Ending. You can unlock it by finding all six of the Firefly's Memory Flowers in the Village of Lu. Step 3: Repair The Illusory Pipa Phantom Edge While the Illusory Pipa isn't directly tied to the Perfect Ending, you'll need to collect all three parts and repair it to use its ability. This ability clears mist blocking certain paths, and a few of those paths house items tied to the True Ending. The parts can be found in the following locations: Village of Lu - Hidden Boss Mandate's Encampment - Chapter Boss Ruined Theater (Meigu Lake) - Hidden Boss After finding all three parts, head to Myst at the tavern in Pangzhen to repair the Pipa, which grants you your new Phantom Edge. Use this to head to the the far north of Meigu Lake and clear the fog there, opening up the Mountain of Imprisonment, a vital endgame area. Step 4: Collect All Acolyte Masks The Acolyte Masks are found by interacting with special scarecrows across Phantom Blade Zero's world. After tough battles with the Acolytes, you'll be granted a mask, which we will use later. The Acolyte Masks are found at the locations below: Mask 1: Village of Lu - Yanru's Blazing Mask (Fire Mask) Mask 2: Pangzhen - Leiting's Thunder Mask (Lightning Mask) Mask 3: Meigu Lake - Guhe's Venom Mask (Poison Mask) Mask 4: Crimson Manor (Below the Sha-Chi Tower in Weeping Creek Valley) - Hansui's Frost Mask (Ice Mask) Step 5: Accessing The Crimson Manor And Collecting The Crystal Puppet Eyes You'll need to access The Crimson Manor to nab one of the masks and the second Crystal Puppet Eye. To access it, though, you'll need to get the Puppet's Tongue. This will unlock the door. You'll be able to find your second Crystal Puppet Eye here. Crystal Puppet Eye 1: Beat the Chapter Boss at the Village of Lu Puppet Tongue: Beat the Chapter Boss at the Mandate Encampment Crystal Puppet Eye 2: Crimson Manor (Weeping Creek Valley) After Beating Mountain of Imprisonment Boss. After gaining the two Crystal Puppet Eyes, head back to the Hidden Realm in Meigu Lake and defeat the Chapter Boss. A statue will appear for you to insert the two eyes. Insert those, and you'll have done everything you need to do for the Perfect Ending. As you'll have probably realized, you won't be doing this step by step, but will be ticking off certain parts as you play through. It seems like a list of chores, but many of these can be done just by playing and exploring the world of Phantom Blade Zero. Having earned the true ending myself, I can truly say it's worth taking a little bit of extra time.
