Skift Tripadvisor announced Thursday that CEO Matt Goldberg and the board "agreed" to his departure as CEO and the board, effective February 16. The announcement about Goldberg's exit comes 16 months after Starboard Value took a 9% stake in the company, and eight months after Dennis Schaal is Skift's executive editor. As a reporter, he covers online travel and short-term rentals for Skift. Schaal has written oral histories of online travel, Booking.com and short-term rentals.
