Tributes to ‘beautiful’ woman, 26, who died after being hit by taxi on carriageway – as driver arrested

TRIBUTES have been paid to a “beautiful” woman who died after being hit by a taxi on a carriageway as the driver was arrested. Isobel Reyland, 26, was rushed to hospital for treatment on September 2 but tragically passed away. Emergency services scrambled to the scene in Aigburth, Merseyside, just before 5.40pm after reports of a collision involving a white Toyota Voxy private hire taxi and a pedestrian. Isobel, from South Wales, sadly died from her injuries shortly after the horror crash. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The driver of the taxi, a 41-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving while under the influence of drugs. He has since been released under investigation.
