Tributes pour in for mum killed after car smashes into wall in Liverpool

Kelly Marie Lundie, 38, was killed when a red Nissan Juke veered off the road and crashed into a brick wall at the junction of Allerton Road and High Street on Friday. The incident, which also involved a white Vauxhall Astra, happened around 11.30pm. Police later confirmed the woman was declared dead at the scene. She has been named locally, as floral tributes addressed to ‘Kelly’ were laid at the roadside. Further tributes on social media identified the woman as Kelly Marie Lundie, described by friends as ‘a beautiful soul’ and ‘a gorgeous person inside and out’. Kelly has been remembered as a ‘gorgeous person’ (Picture: Merseyside Police) Friend Leanne Blundell said: ‘My beautiful friend, my heart is in bits; you were such a gorgeous person inside and out. I’ll treasure our memories forever. ‘Sleep peacefully, Kell, sending love and prayers to your baby boy and your family. Love you always.’ Eleanor Harvey said: ‘Kelly Marie, I am so sorry to hear this. Beautiful lady, you were so special and deserved much more than you were given. Rest in God’s care and forgive in his peace.’ Emma-Elise Evans said: ‘I just can’t believe this. Words can’t describe how much she will be missed. Thinking of all her family and friends at this difficult time.’ Merseyside Police have appealed for information about the fatal crash. Sergeant Phil Everett, of Merseyside Police Matrix Roads Policing department, said: ‘Our thoughts are with the family members of the woman who sadly died following the collision late last night, and they are being supported by a specially trained family liaison officer. ‘We are in the early stages of an investigation into this incident, and it is now our priority to confirm exactly how the collision occurred. ‘We know this happened late last night when many residents may have been inside their homes, but if anyone saw what happened or was driving through the area just before the incident occurred, then please get in touch. ‘Similarly, if you live in the area and have doorbell footage of the incident, please contact us.
