Traverse City teacher sets sail on Great Lakes research boat

Mandi Young, a science teacher from Traverse City, recently embarked on an enlightening journey aboard the Lake Guardian research vessel, collaborating with EPA scientists to collect water samples and gather data on Great Lakes environmental health. This unique experience not only enhances her understanding of the ecosystem but also provides her with invaluable insights she plans to share with her students at The Pathfinder School.
