Both the celebrities and the nation were left lost for words when Richard E. Grant appeared to forget the rules of the game and revealed his villainous status in the first episode of Celebrity Traitors last Thursday. Just minutes after he promised to keep his identity a secret – comedian Joe Lycett directly asked the legendary actor: 'What are you?'In the biggest slip-up in the show's history, Richard responded with, 'A Traitor,' before backtracking and adding that that was just what he wanted to be. Unsure what to believe, Joe said: 'I think you've just done something that has never happened in the game... bold strategy.'And after digging himself a hole early doors, Richard's fate isn't looking too promising with many contestants raising their suspicions during Friday night's roundtable.Former Traitors stars Ellie and Ross, who competed in the non-celebrity series earlier this year and entered as secret boyfriend and girlfriend, have now shared their thoughts on his 'ridiculous' tactic. Sharing their verdict the couple revealed they think Richard's fate is sealed and his time in the castle will be cut short.Ex Traitors stars Ellie and Ross believe Richard E. Grant has sealed his fate and will be a goner in first roundtable - and reveal they empathise with Ross Kemp's hilarious paranoia Sharing their verdict the couple revealed they think Richard's fate is sealed and his time in the castle will be cut short Ellie told the Daily Mail: 'They've definitely led us to believe he's about to get banished. 'It will be tough. It's clear to me the players are divided between those who just think, "Wow, you've just told everyone the truth". 'Then some people are second-guessing themselves and going, "No, it's just a strategy. He's just being really bold". We saw the way Joe Lycett said, "Sorry, what?"'Ross, who was voted out by his fellow Faithfuls during his series, explained: 'It's because it was so ridiculous. 'Ultimately, I understand the rationale and people being like, "Surely he didn't forget; he wouldn't just break the rules of the game". And that’s actually exactly what he did. That's the grace he's gotten. 'But, you don't need many people to latch on to vote you out.'Ellie added: 'Especially in those early round tables when people aren't so confident to vote. So I think we might see him go.'Ross agreed: 'Yes, I think so too. I think we'll see him go because you don't need more than five votes, and you're done. 'We aren’t saying we want him out, but there would be little hope for the game.'Ross also shared his empathy for celebrity contestant Ross Kemp, who has been rather paranoid in the game so far and accused both Bella Ramsey and Leigh-Anne Pinnock of murdering him in plain sight. After the day's mission, Bella put a sailor's cap on Ross's head and he immediately asked her: 'did you just murder me?' Later in the car back to the castle he confessed his fears to his fellow Faithfuls before later turning on Leigh-Anne when she brushed his arm in the bar. Ross shared his empathy for celebrity contestant Ross Kemp, who has been rather paranoid and accused both Bella Ramsey and Leigh-Anne Pinnock of murdering him in plain sight Ross confessed: 'I feel sorry for Ross Kemp at the moment.... I'm like, "Bro, Ross to Ross, I know what you're going through. And it is paranoia"'Relating to the star, Ross confessed: 'I feel sorry for Ross Kemp at the moment. I'm a big fan of him, and watching The Celebrity Traitors, I'm like, "Bro, Ross to Ross, I know what you're going through. And it is paranoia".'On episode two, when they were talking about him at breakfast, I was like, "Leave Ross alone!" Everyone's ganging up on him. Everyone understands his background; he's been in some rough situations, so he is hyper-aware. 'That paranoia was also there for me. I remember hearing stuff back from people saying, "Ross, you were making yourself seem so guilty". 'And you're like, "How is someone supposed to be in?" So with things such as when Bella Ramsey put the hat on Ross’s head and Leigh-Anne then touched his arm, I understand his paranoia. 'People are saying to him, "Oh, don't take it personally.” My take on that is, you're talking to me. What do you mean?!'Celebrity Traitors fans were left furious at the end of Friday's episode after the hit BBC show abruptly ended mid round table. The tension rose between the celebrities at the first round table of the series as they debated whether Richard is a Faithful or not.And just as the celebrities were going back and forth on Richard's innocence, Claudia Winkleman announced: 'Players the time for talk is over,' and the second episode surprisingly ended. Fans were left shocked by the 'massive cliffhanger' as viewers didn't even get the chance to see the stars write who they believe is a Traitor on their chalkboards and will now have to wait six days for the next episode. One viewer wrote: 'Yeah not a fan of these cliffhanger endings on the traitors. Since when did they end the show before a round table vote? Ridiculous.'Other fans added: 'The one thing about the traitors is it’s going to end on a cliffhanger every single time and make you shout at the tv because now we have to wait till next flipping thursday'Elsewhere in the episode, former Today programme host Amol Rajan fell at the first hurdle when he was murdered by Richard and Maya Jama.Viewers have been left waiting for 24 hours to see if he or comedian James Acaster would win the battle to be chosen by Richard and Maya to be the third Traitor, but on Friday fans discovered it was Amol who lost out.Speaking after his shock exit, Amol admitted that he is ‘grieving’ being kicked off so early in the series. He said: ‘It's just an absolutely unforgettable ride of a lifetime. And honestly, there's kind of an unhappy contrast right now, because I'm sort of grieving what might have been. In time I know that I'll come to look on this as honestly one of the greatest privileges of my life.’
