Foreign workers in Japan are voicing frustration over the high costs associated with renewing their work visas, which can amount to 100,000 yen (around R$ 3,200) every three years. Srijana Sunar, a 29-year-old Nepali woman working in Japanese factories since 2018, shared her shock at these expenses despite earning 145,000 yen (about R$ 4,600) monthly. This discontent highlights broader issues regarding the treatment and integration of foreign workers in Japan, raising questions about the country's immigration policies and the overall welcoming environment for expatriates.
