TOMMY Robinson’s convicted friend Danny Tommo burst into a man’s home and tried to kidnap him at knifepoint alongside two accomplices. The trio are then said to have punched and kicked Graham and tried to drag him out into the street but Graham managed to cling onto a door frame. But the incident was reportedly a case of mistaken identity, Graham said, with Thomas and his accomplices believing Graham was a man of the same name from Bognor Regis, The Times reports. Graham told the publication: “They pushed my door open with machetes, but they couldn’t get me out of the bungalow.” He added that Thomas had “swung for me” and that the harrowing incident left him in shock. Once he was released from prison Thomas adopted the name he goes by today and connected with Tommy Robinson, the founder of the English Defence League. Following his release, Thomas said “everyone deserves a second chance” and told how he attended church weekly to “pray for forgiveness.” Graham said he was asked to attend the protests organised by Thomas over the weekend but didn’t go because of his history with the organiser. The dad said: “I don’t like him: I think he’s an idiot because of the previous things [he has done]. He trails in Tommy Robinson’s shadow. “I see stuff on Facebook [and] what he is doing is good. I just don’t like him. He claims to have turned his life around after finding Christianity and took credit for a “stop the boats” protest that brought Dover to a standstill on Saturday. Thomas was filmed in Dover alongside hundreds from Patriot Platform – a group he launched in June. He describes it as a “growing Christian patriotic army” and has claimed more than 40,000 people have signed up. On social media, he shared footage of protesters marching through Kent on Saturday, adding “this is only the beginning”. Another video showed the words “blood is on your hands” spray-painted on the ground near the UK’s busiest ferry port. The privately educated dad-of-four, from Hampshire, previously worked as a tank driver with the King’s Royal Hussars, according to reports. But it is understood he was discharged on medical grounds before seeing active service. Prior to giving up work to dedicate “everything to the cause”, Thomas also reportedly worked as a bricklayer and ran his own web design firm. Before launching Patriot Platform, he helped organised a UKIP rally and Brexit Betrayal march. After launching Patriot Platform, Thomas managed to find himself receiving a large sum of cash from an American conservative think tank. However he was accused of misappropriating some of the money for his own use. Yesterday, he appeared outside the Daily Mail’s offices in London after claiming they had revealed his mum’s address online. Outside the newspaper office he was heard shouting: “I am going to give you 48 hours to buy my mum a new house or to get the money to get her a new house. Thomas is now due to appear at Folkestone magistrates court in October accused of using threatening behaviour and trespassing on Dover Western Docks in April.
