Characterised by its intimate slogan, the piece is at once bold but sensitive, distinctive in both message and the bright blue of the piece’s background. Alongside the capsule’s launch earlier in the summer, AMI Paris spread its presence throughout the globe, where the titular message appeared on iconic urban surfaces – monuments, metro stations, billboards, and street-side spots – throughout a number of major cities, in an audacious tribute to friendships, old and new.As for what the slogan itself actually means, AMI says that founder and creative director Alexandre Mattiussi has always found his spark in the values of friendship, intimacy, and trust, and that this capsule represents a tribute to the profound joy of actually thanking someone for being a friend. While this might feel like a foreign concept to us emotion-shy Brits, there’s no denying it’s a worthwhile sentiment... and if you can’t say it? Do as Tom Holland did, and wear it on a T-shirt instead.
