A two-year-old girl died from injuries sustained after a Russian drone crashed in Kyiv’s Obolon district on Saturday, Aug. 29, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. The SES stated that Russian forces launched repeated daytime strikes following overnight attacks, triggering large-scale fires at regional logistics facilities. Deadly ammunition depot explosion The ongoing daytime strikes follow a Russian drone attack late Friday evening, Aug. 28, that triggered massive secondary detonations at an ammunition warehouse in the village of Myla in the Bucha district. The death toll from the Myla explosion has reached at least 37 people, with 42 others injured, including four children. Kyiv Regional Governor Tymur Tkachenko confirmed that Taras Didych, the head of the Dmytrivka community, was among those killed while acting as a first responder to the emergency. The massive explosions destroyed surrounding infrastructure, including a boarding house for the elderly, damaged approximately 50 residential buildings, and forced the evacuation of 381 residents.
