The three-year-old suffered critical injuries after getting their head stuck in the playset at a babysitter’s home before tragically dying days later. The child was pronounced dead on July 27, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department. Investigators said the toddler and a sibling had been staying at a babysitter’s house when the horrifying incident unfolded. According to police, the babysitter had left the home and placed the children in the care of their spouse. The spouse allegedly remained upstairs while the children played downstairs, periodically checking on them and bringing them snacks. During one of those checks, the spouse reportedly found the three-year-old with their head trapped inside a toy kitchen playset. They freed the child and immediately began life-saving measures until first responders arrived. The sibling claimed the three-year-old became trapped while trying to retrieve the toys from inside the playset. Authorities have not said how long the child was trapped before being discovered.
