Titans add three players off waivers, veteran S Terrell Burgess

The Titans are adding several players early in the week.Tennessee claimed three players off waivers who had been let go in roster cuts: linebacker Owen Pappoe, defensive back Melvin Smith, and defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse.According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, Tennessee will also sign veteran safety Terrell Burgess, who was released by the Saints.Pappoe was previously with the Cardinals, Smith was with the Chiefs, and Stackhouse had been with the Packers.Burgess has the most experience of the group, having appeared in 59 games with five starts in his career. He played 16 contests for New Orleans last year, registering three passes defensed — though most of his playing time came on special teams.As one of their corresponding moves, the Titans will waive linebacker Mohamoud Diabate, according to Tom Pelissero of Netflix.
