Ponmani, who inspected the nursery at Ambedkar Nagar in Zone 1 of the city on Saturday, said one lakh tree saplings were being raised under shade nets there. Similar nurseries would be established in the other four zones of the city and various tree saplings, including various native and flower-bearing trees would be raised, she said.Already tree saplings had been planted along various roads, Corporation parks and river courses.
