Time of the season for agency head departures

Taylor Hatch's exit as the secretary for Florida's Department of Children and Families could mark the beginning of a series of high-level departures in Gov. Ron DeSantis's administration, setting the stage for potential shifts in policy and leadership as the state prepares for a new governor. This move comes just months before the end of DeSantis's term, hinting at possible strategic exits timed to the political transition. Such departures can significantly impact agency operations and the administration's agenda, as new leadership often brings fresh perspectives and priorities.
