On the latest episode of The MizzouToday Show, Missouri football commit Lawrence Britt joined the program to detail his decision to pledge to the Tigers, wide receiver coach Jacob Peeler‘s development plan and the Class of 2027 wide receiver room as a whole. The Rivals Industry four-star also told behind-the-scene stories on meeting D.K. Metcalf, connections to the Show-Me State and how his commitment unfolded. An NFL All-Pro wide receiver, Metcalf played under Peeler at Ole Miss. “I congratulated him on everything that he’s doing,” Britt said. “And the first question I asked him was, ‘How do you feel about Coach (Jacob) Peeler at Missouri? Because I know he coached you,’ and he had nothing but great things to say.” The MizzouToday Show: Spotify Apple Podcasts Britt also acknowledged the Memphis connections at Missouri. Peeler, running backs coach Curtis Luper and director of recruiting communications and strategy Maurey Bland Jr. all have ties either to his hometown or Mississippi. “Coach Peeler, his family is only about like an hour and a half, two hours away from from Memphis,” Britt said. “So that’s a quick drive. Every time he goes to see his family, he always drives through Memphis, and he always texts me.”
