Tiger suspected of killing 2 persons in Gudalur will be captured soon, says Forest Minister

Ranjithkumar on Monday told the Assembly that three teams, besides three veterinarians, and a specialist, had been pressed into action to capture the tiger that is suspected to have killed two people in Gudalur in the Nilgiris district.Responding to a special calling-attention motion, he said three teams of forest officials had been constituted immediately, and three veterinarians had been equipped with tranquillisers. A specialist veterinarian from Madurai had also been sent to capture the animal.Mr. Ranjithkumar said there would be no further deaths from tiger attacks. “The animal will be captured and sent either to Vandalur or a tiger reserve,” he said.
