He was expected to play a bigger role tonight, but instead, won’t play at all.The Cowboys ruled out Porter with an illness.The team announced Porter’s status 10 minutes before inactives were due.Porter has not allowed a touchdown in his last 1,685 coverage snaps, per Pro Football Focus.The Cowboys acquired him in a trade with the Steelers last week. He was inactive for the three games he was with Pittsburgh, unhappy that he didn’t get a long-term contract extension before the start of the season.
