Thunder Waive Otega Oweh To Open Two-Way Spot For Micah Peavy
The Oklahoma City Thunder have waived guard Otega Oweh. This transaction opened the roster spot for the Thunder to sign Micah Peavy to a two-way contract. Oweh is out for the entire season after suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon during the preseason. Peavy will be eligible to play in up to 49 NBA games for Oklahoma City, provided he's signed before the end of the weekend.
