Three men were arrested for entering the mortuary of Government Stanley Hospital without authorisation, and recording videos of bodies kept there, to make reels for social media.The incident took place around 5 a.m. on Thursday when Sathishkumar, 25, and Dheena alias Dineshkumar, 30, both from Vyasarpadi, went to the hospital to see the body of their associate Anand alias ‘Pallu’ Anand, a history-sheeter from Ernavur. Dheena is also a TVK worker, police said.According to the police, the duo allegedly obtained the mortuary key after paying ₹200 to morgue worker Srinivasan through a battery-operated vehicle driver, Vyasarpadi Shankar. They, then, entered the mortuary and recorded videos of the bodies inside.Hospital staff noticed the men inside the mortuary and alerted Resident Medical Officer Vanitha Malar, who lodged a complaint with the police personnel posted at the hospital. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Sathishkumar, Dineshkumar, and Shankar. The police registered a case under three sections, including one relating to unauthorised entry into the government hospital mortuary.
