Another heatwave has hit Spain, with temperatures reaching up to 38CSpain's weather agency AEMET said an episode of unusually hot weather for early September would ⁠set in from Thursday and likely persist into the weekend, with temperatures climbing well above seasonal norms. Highs are expected ⁠to exceed 35C (95F) across much of inland Spain, accompanied by widespread tropical nights with temperatures remaining above 20C (68F).The Majorca Daily Bulletin has reported some regions with high temperatures.Alcudia will see humidity at 50 per cent, and temperatures reaching 32C (90F) tomorrow, 33C (91F) on Sunday and 32C (90F) on Monday. Meanwhile, Binissalem will get up to 37C (99F) tomorrow, Sunday and Monday.As for Porreres, Saturday will see temperatures up to 38, with the same heat expected through to Monday.It comes after a wave of heatwaves has affected the country over the summer. Regions in Spain, including Mallorca, pictured, are set to be affected by this weekend's unseasonably warm weatherAlmost 2,150 people are thought to have died from heat-related causes in Spain in August, official data showed on Tuesday, after record-breaking heatwaves engulfed Western Europe during the summer.Data from the Health Ministry showed 2,149 excess deaths attributable to the heat last month.It's the second-highest August number since records began in 2015, surpassed only by last year's record of 2,184. The highest number of deaths in August was recorded in the northeastern region of Catalonia, at 1,164, the data showed, followed by the Valencia and Andalusia regions, with 227 and 138 ⁠deaths, respectively.
