Although their friendship developed over the years, they only began dating later, eventually tying the knot in a private ceremony in Rome. Cat, who spent more than a decade hosting So You Think You Can Dance in the U.S., continued to juggle work across both sides of the Atlantic. Speculation about their relationship emerged last year when Cat was absent from Patrick’s mother Mary’s funeral. Patrick was also spending much of his time in Dublin where he hosts The Late Late Show while Cat has been in London with her work obligations. A source at the time said: “Everyone knew the marriage was over in March. They were living separate lives and it was very clear when she didn’t go to his mother’s funeral that month. “She’d been living in England to work on This Morning and he was back in Ireland – they only spent time together for the kids.” Comment now
