A Tamil Nadu woman who travelled to Kuwait for domestic work has appealed for help through a video, alleging that she has been subjected to severe torture and abuse. The woman said she has been living without proper food for more than 50 days and has not received her salary for the past two months.The woman, Anitha, travelled to Kuwait a few months ago for domestic work through intermediaries. In the video, she says it has been three months since she arrived in Kuwait and alleges that she has been subjected to severe torture and abuse for the past two months.The mother of two teenagers made an emotional appeal to the Kallakurichi District Collector and Superintendent of Police, urging them to intervene, rescue her and bring her back to India."It has been three months since I came here. They are torturing me and treating me very cruelly. I request the Collector madam and the SP madam to somehow rescue me alive and help me return to my motherland, India. I cannot bear it any more," she says in the video. She repeatedly appeals for help, saying she can no longer endure the situation and fears for her life."They have not even paid me my salary for two months. They are treating me very badly. Please somehow save me and take me back. Please save me and take me back somehow. I am unable to bear this. I am afraid they will kill me. I cannot take it anymore," the woman adds. Her mother, Anila, also appealed to the authorities to intervene and bring her daughter back at the earliest.
