‘They Were Sorting Vegetables’: Russian Attack Kills 6 Workers in Kharkiv Oblast

Russian forces attacked an agricultural facility in Stara Hnylytsia, Kharkiv region, on the morning of Sept. 24, killing six workers and wounding 12 others, Ukrainian officials said. Four of the wounded were reported to be in critical condition, with all the victims receiving medical treatment. “Six employees of an agricultural enterprise were killed in a Russian attack on the Kharkiv region this morning. They were sorting vegetables at the time of the attack,” Vyhivskyi said in a Telegram post. He added that rescue workers and police investigators were working at the scene.The attack hit a vegetable storage facility in the village of Stara Hnylytsia during a massive Russian overnight attack across Ukraine. Local officials said all those killed and wounded were employees of the agricultural business.“Terror against civilians continues at this very moment,” Vyhivskyi said, noting that air raid alerts remained active in several regions.The Kharkiv attack came as Russia launched three waves of ballistic missiles and drones against Ukraine early Sept. 24, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.Zelensky said Ukraine intercepted 60% of the ballistic missiles launched during the attack. He said he discussed the attacks with Armed Forces (AFU) Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi and Air Force Commander Anatolii Kryvonozhko while speaking to journalists in New York.
