He completed his final 11 passes. There were only four incompletions. Two passes were dropped, one was batted down by the defense, and the other was a throw-away. He was accurate in the flats and down the field. Minchey finished with 252 yards and two touchdowns. His success on Saturday started during the work week. “It was a really good game plan. We trust the coaches through and through every single week,” said Minchey. “They put together the best possible plan for us, and you know they felt like they knew what we were going to get from the defensive side of the ball, and they put us in position to to win with you know formation guys open. So it’s really good thing to see.” Floyd Mayweather used finesse to take command in the boxing ring. Minchey’s preparation and accuracy put him in command at Kyle Field.
