2 min readWe’re closing in on the holiday season, and we found the perfect gifts for our readers’ kids. A slew of Stanley’s tools are now available in kids' versions. They’re safe, easy to use, and all under $40. Finding the perfect holiday gift is tough—if not downright impossible. At least if you’re looking for the element of surprise. Going straight to the list is always a great floor, but you need some ceiling-raisers. That is, a few things they’ll love and maybe they weren’t expecting. If your child wants to follow in your footsteps, we may have the perfect option. And if dear old dad (or mom) is a regular Pop Mech reader, even better.Stanley Tools are a solid budget-friendly option for homeowners, and that goes double for their next of kin. A few of the brand’s most popular tools are now in children's toy form—aka, the perfect stocking stuffer. Red Toolbox makes them, and they’re a must-have for any aspiring handyman this holiday season. The best part is, they’re all available on Amazon with two-day shipping, though we don’t recommend waiting until the last minute unless you want a TurboMan-type situation on your hands. We highlighted our favorites below. All of the classics are available. Our favorite might be the Stanley Jr. Kids Tool Set, which includes a hammer, hand saw, screwdriver, plastic knife, measuring tape, bolts and washers, wrench, and adjustable wrench. You know, all of the essentials. You’ll also want to ensure they’re wearing their OSHA-certified safety gear. The 3-Piece Pretend Play Toolset comes with a helmet and goggles, which will help them build good habits and get more immersed in their craft. They’ll feel like the real deal.Stanley’s Battery-Operated Drill and Deluxe Chainsaw also get a kid-friendly reboot. Get them started early on power tools, especially considering they’re under $20 and $40, respectively. We love a good fall cleanup, and they’ll have to learn to love it, too. The Stanley Jr. Kids Leaf Blower is a good start. The Stanley Jr. Kids Weed Trimmer is another way to ease them into their inevitable yardwork. It looks realistic, builds motor skills, and is easy to use. Not to mention, it’ll probably help you cut down on yardwork down the line. We call that an investment.Shop Kids Stanley Tools HereTim Kohut is the Deals and Trends Editor for Popular Mechanics, Men’s Health, Best Products, and Runner's World.
