As Bobbi Brown‘s first-ever global artistic director and a celebrity makeup artist who’s worked with the likes of Alex Consani and Hailey Bieber, Hannah Murray knows a thing or two about embracing beauty trends. And while the so-called “clean girl” look has long been trending, these days she’s also seeing a shift towards something a bit more party-ready. “‘Clean girl’ makeup always work, as it feels minimal and fresh — but I’m definitely excited about seeing more color and stronger looks,” Murray told Page Six Style. “I’m loving the more dramatic smoky eyes with deeper lipsticks; it feels sexy and powerful.” Below, she dishes on the trends she predicts will be biggest this fall — plus, the affordable skin care staple she always keeps in her kit. Go for windswept blush Models on the Louis Vuitton cruise 2027 runway sported a natural-looking flush. WWD via Getty Images Murray predicts “soft, feminine, flushed cheeks you’d get from being in the mountains” will be big this fall, but even urban dwellers can easily re-create the look. She recommends applying a cream blush like Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge to the apples of cheeks, plus a little on the bridge of your nose. (“I like to apply something that has a red undertone for the most authentic flush,” Murray added.) Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks Bobbi Brown Opt for smoldering eyes and lips Brands like Saint Laurent leaned into the smoky eye on recent runways. Gamma-Rapho via Getty Images Move over, minimalism. Citing recent Saint Laurent, Gucci and Jean Paul Gaultier runways, Murray predicted we’ll be seeing a bold throwback: “smoked-out” dark neutral eyes and bold burgundy or red lips for a “dark sophistication.” As for how to wear the trend? “Start with a good creamy kohl and blend it out and then, depending on how dramatic you want to go, soften and blend with a neutral cool-toned eyeshadow or cream eyeshadow,” Murray instructed, saying she likes to start with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeliner Stick in either Panther, Aubergine or Fog. Just be sure to keep the rest of your makeup look fairly minimal otherwise, as Murray said the biggest mistake she sees people making is trying to do too much at once. (“Keep the focus on one or two features and keep the third element fresher … this will keep a certain effortlessness to your face,” she explained.) Getty Images When it comes to eyeshadow, don’t be afraid to play with color, either. Murray spotted “intense bold colors applied solidly on eye with the rest of the face fairly blank” on the runways at Sportmax and Moschino. But you needn’t be strutting the catwalk to try the trend. The beauty pro recommends applying either concealer or a skin-toned cream eyeshadow first, before you swipe on your more colorful eyeshadow. “This will keep the color bright and fresh and will help it to stay,” she explained. Regardless what type of look she’s creating, Murray swears by Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base+ Moisturizer & Primer, which she calls her “all-time favorite product” to help makeup stay all day. When the glam is finished, she also often applies a moisturizer like Weleda Skin Food on the top of the cheekbones for a glowy look. “It brings back skin quality immediately and refreshes the face,” she explained. “It’s a quick hack that works every time, especially in photographs.” Weleda Skin Food Weleda Why Trust Page Six Style Shopping This article was written by Hannah Southwick, Commerce Associate Editor for Page Six.
