Their concerns deserve to be heard: Elvish Yadav backs students' protest in Delhi

YouTuber Elvish Yadav has reacted to the ongoing Chalo Sansad protest, condemning the alleged use of force against students and urging the authorities to address their concerns. His statement comes after clashes broke out during the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) march to Parliament over the NEET-UG controversy.In a post on X, Elvish clarified that his views were not politically motivated. "I’m neither a BJP supporter nor a Congress supporter. But what is happening to the students is completely wrong. The students who came forward with genuine issues should not have been subjected to violence. Their concerns deserve to be heard, and appropriate action should be taken.”Take a look at the post here:The CJP had organised the Chalo Sansad march from Jantar Mantar, where protesters had been camping for nearly a month, towards Parliament on the opening day of the Monsoon Session. The demonstration, held to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG examination irregularities, drew thousands of protesters. However, security personnel stopped the march at multiple locations, leading to clashes in which police used tear gas and lathi charges to disperse the crowd. According to a statement issued by the Delhi Police, the protesters refused to disperse despite repeated warnings and lawful directions, and continued to violate the prohibitory orders in force. The police further claimed that some protesters attacked security personnel with stones and other objects, attempted to breach barricades, vandalised police and government vehicles, damaged public property, and engaged in large-scale violence.
