After a huge cliffhanger at the end of The Witcher season 3, the Netflix series is coming back with its fourth season, the first without Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher season 4 takes place after the Thanedd Coup, which resulted in Ciri, Yennefer, and Geralt being separated one more time. While Yennefer and Geralt set out to find Ciri, the Cintran princess joins the Rats, a group of ruthless thieves, though hiding her real identity. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are accompanied by old and new characters, some of them allies and others villains. While there are many changes to The Witcher season 4, the setup to the final season of the series made a path forward make sense after some big casting shifts. With Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher season 4 relied on its previous cast to ensure that the show felt the same moving forwad, and as it moves into its final season, there could be more shakeups with who's involved in the long-running hit Netflix series.
