He’s also interviewed some of the world’s biggest musical artists to find out how the medium has inspired their work, and TV and Film actors about their roles in video game adaptations. He’s been learning Japanese since 2024 with the intention of identifying and translating Japanese-language news and bringing it to English-language audiences first, something he’s done countless times. Sam’s first review was 2020’s Battletoads reboot, and he’s since reviewed games in The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, and Pokemon franchises. I'm a bit of a Witcher 3 hater. I've tried to play it three, maybe four, times now, and I've fallen off every time. There are a few things that I really don't jibe with, some big, some small, some very, very horse-shaped. Thankfully, since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, fans have been hard at work fixing the game's little annoyances, Roach being one of them, and a handful of mods that improve her have already appeared online. The Witcher 3 Remastered Players Are Doing Everything They Can To Help Roach I'm not alone in disliking Roach. Since The Witcher 3's 2015 launch, players have constantly complained about her clunky steering, unpredictable pathfinding, and her uncanny ability to get stuck in the most ridiculous of places. They're now, once again, doing what they can to fix that. Over the last week or so, a trio of mods have appeared on Nexus Mods that have begun to reshape the way Roach works. The first gives the pesky horse unlimited stamina. That means no more slowing to a halt at the worst possible moment. The second adds a slider that increases the speed at which Roach runs, anywhere from 1x to 3x as fast. It can also improve the speed at which Geralt swims. Finally, there's a mod that makes Roach punctual. This means when you call her, she won't be a mile away, stuck behind a fence; instead, she'll appear right by your side. They haven't quite figured out the pathfinding or steering yet, although CD Projekt Red did improve those with the remaster, and these go some way toward making her a bit more palatable. These mods join a handful of others that have already significantly improved the former Game of the Year winner. It recently got an unbelievable cheat menu with 27 different cheats, each one helping you tailor the game to your liking. Before that, players restored a cut Yen scene and book-accurate armor.
