"We just released an update for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version," CDPR announced on X. "Fixed an issue where DLSS was unavailable in the Xbox Play Anywhere version of the game on PC. Made various lighting adjustments, including fixing some interiors that appeared too dark. Made various other adjustments to ensure parity with the PC version." CDPR stresses that it cannot support issues that stem from downloading mods, however, warning that they "may lead to unexpected, incorrect behavior of the game," such as crashes, issues with quest progression, and missing or incorrect elements in the UI. CDPR Is Working On The Nvidia HairWorks Performance Hit, With A PC Hotfix Underway For The Save File Issue While today's patch is primarily focused on consoles, that doesn't mean PC players have been left completely in the lurch. CDPR pointed to its Technical Support page, noting that several issues have been flagged and are currently being worked on. One of the "hot issues" mentioned stems from Nvidia HairWorks, which the team warned "may significantly impact game performance." For the time being, CDPR recommends disabling the feature until a future patch is released. Global community and social media director Marcin Momot also revealed that "another PC hotfix is on the way to address the save file issue." It's worth flagging any problems you run into while playing the remaster on the Technical Support page, though sharing constructive feedback on social media platforms like Reddit and X can help raise awareness. Comments on the patch notes point out that dialogue audio will randomly lower in volume and become inaudible, forcing a restart — an issue I also ran into. Other players report their settings being completely reset on startup, the game failing to launch altogether, and clouds intermittently popping in and out at Kaer Morhen. Hopefully, these issues will be addressed soon.
