‘The White Lotus’ Season 4 Cast Keeps on Growing. Here's Everything We Know

White told Entertainment Tonight that—unsurprisingly, given the setting—the new season will be “about fame. There are some people who are satisfied with the love of one intimate partner or a family, and then there’s some people who need the love of strangers.”Fabio Lovino/Courtesy of HBOAnd for the first time in the show's history, season four will unfold in not one but two White Lotus resort locations: The Château de la Messardière, a fortress of a luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez, will play the role of the White Lotus Du Cap, while the role of the White Lotus Cannes will be played by the Hôtel Martinez, an art deco palace overlooking the Croisette.Beyond that, details are still scarce, although if past seasons are anything to go by, you can probably expect an exasperated manager or two, plenty of demanding guests, and at least one dead body.What we do know is that this season will feature one of the best—and biggest—White Lotus casts in the show's five-year history. After several waves of casting announcements, we figured this season was at full occupancy—but in the wake of a surprise substitution, HBO has confirmed a few more names, including an Industry favorite and one of the most acclaimed actors of all time.Here's who'll be unpacking at the Côte d'Azur in season four, which is expected to hit HBO in 2027.Laura DernHBO/Everett CollectionJust days into production in the French Riviera, Helena Bonham Carter dropped out of The White Lotus, reportedly due to creative differences. According to an HBO spokesperson, “it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set.” The good news? White has tapped Laura Dern to replace her in a role that is being written for her. Dern and White go way back—she starred in Enlightened, the HBO series which ran for two seasons and earned the actress a Golden Globe. And hey, you can never go wrong with Laura Dern.Ben KingsleyEverett CollectionMike White adds another Academy Award-winning thespian to the ensemble with Ben Kingsley, known to your parents as the star of Gandhi and to slightly younger people as Trevor Slattery from Iron Man 3, a role he recently reprised in TV's acclaimed Wonder Man. This season reportedly follows duelling films competing at the Cannes Film Festival, and we could easily see the actor hitting the Croisette.Max MinghellaLions Gate/Everett CollectionAfter playing finance bro Whitney Halberstram in the fourth season of Industry, Max Minghella is returning to HBO once again. Will Minghella channel the same level of sleaze when he checks into The White Lotus, or will he make a complete departure? In any case, his stocks are going up.Alexander LudwigEverett CollectionAlong with AJ Michalka, Alexander Ludwig was the first cast member to join this season’s ensemble. The actor is most well known for portraying Cato, the Career Tribute from District 2 in The Hunger Games, and his starring role in History Channel’s Vikings. He’ll also be making his directorial debut with Billings, a healthcare drama starring himself and Carla Gugino. As for The White Lotus, Reddit is speculating he’ll portray one of the obligatory “douche guys” à la Shane (Jake Lacy) and Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger). You can also usually count on a beloved British veteran to check in, and this season’s French holiday sees English actor and comedian Steve Coogan follow in the footsteps of Jason Isaacs and Tom Hollander. Perhaps best known as Alan Partridge, Coogan is also no stranger to an indulgent holiday—in Michael Winterbottom's The Trip film series, he and co-star Rob Bryden have completed trips to Spain, Italy and Greece. She also reunited with Lee in Highest 2 Lowest, which hit the Cannes Film Festival last year. With fame as the theme of the season, maybe a stop at a nearby cinema haven is on the cards.Caleb Jonte EdwardsEach season’s cast of The White Lotus strikes a balance between bonafide stars and exciting newcomers. The Saint-Tropez-set edition promises more of the latter with Australian actor Caleb Jonte Edwards, who only has two prior credits on his IMDb: a 2025 short film called The Man and the Woman and a guest spot on the Aussie crime drama Black Snow. Could he be the next major breakout?Marissa LongAxelle/Bauer-GriffinModel and content creator Marissa Long will be making her TV debut in an unknown role. The veteran actor is among the marquee names in this stacked cast; he first broke out in your film bro’s favorite movie La Haine, with other credits including Black Swan, Ocean’s Twelve and The Shards.
