A TV insider said: “This is a bit of a revolution for The Voice, which has pretty much remained unchanged since it launched in the UK in 2012. “The rewind element will see the judges given the power to perform a U-turn on a previous decision to pass over a performer. “It means they can reflect, then add them to their team, which will certainly keep the singers on their toes.” Two brand new hosts are reportedly in line to take over for the 2027 series. Emma Willis has been a fixture of The Voice since 2014, but she will move over to front Strictly Come Dancing. According to reports by The Mirror, Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon are set to fill her shoes, though ITV has yet to officially confirm the news. Most read in TV Alesha, 47, is rumoured to be taking on the role of introducing the show’s performers on stage. It’s understood that Stacey, 36, could focus on the contestants behind the scenes. A source told the publication: “Alesha found Stacey hilarious when she stood in for Simon on BGT – they got on like a house on fire. “They are the perfect choice for The Voice because they have so much experience between them. “Alesha is a pop star and TV judge on a hit Saturday night show, and Stacey found fame thanks to the X Factor and is now a TV presenter on Sort Your Life Out, where her empathy with people is off the chart. “They have brilliant energy together and are buzzing to take on The Voice UK. Everyone is really excited.” When is The Voice returning? The next series starts on Saturday, August 22 at 7pm. It will air on ITV and will be available to stream on ITVX. How much money does the winner receive? The ultimate prize is £50,000 and a contract with Universal Music Group. The Voice was last on our screens in 2024. Singer Ava won the show and received the £50,000 cash, a recording contract and a holiday to Florida. Ava has spoken about her win, revealing: “I never expected to win. It’s been amazing, everyone has been so supportive. “I am just trying to be myself and not let anything or anyone change me.” Comment now
