Cabin crew easyJet is hiring over 50s to join its cabin crew If you’ve dreamt of travelling the world then a cabin crew role could be for you. Last week easyJet launched a new recruitment drive to hire more older air hosts and hostesses. Since it launched the initiative to recruit older workers in 2022, the number of cabin crew aged over 50 has more than doubled, while the number of over 60s has almost quadrupled. Most read in Money Applications will open from September and there will be roles available across the airline’s UK bases. Meanwhile, you don’t need any previous flying experience to apply. Cabin crew earn around £22,000 a year, plus sector pay, which varies per individual flight. They also earn commission from sales onboard, which is added on top. You could also get discounted travel for yourself, friends and family and discounts on hotels, airport lounges and car hire. But be warned that you will need to be prepared to do early starts, late finishes and weekend shifts. You don’t need a degree or any experience but you must be good on your feet and comfortable working with dogs. This job is particularly flexible so you should be able to choose your hours and pick up more or less work to suit your schedule. Loose Leashes London is currently looking for a dog walker and will pay between £15 and £30 an hour. Meanwhile, Walkies with Luis will pay between £28,500 a year and £31,500 a year. Buzz Bingo in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, is looking for callers to work 16-25 hours a week, which is fully flexible over 7 days, including evenings and weekends. Pay starts from £12.71 an hour but it increases to £12.91 once you’ve been successfully signed off as a bingo caller. In this job you’ll contact current and potential donors by phone to try and raise money, build relationships and update them on the work of a charity or organisation. You’ll need to be passionate, engaging and motivated to help charities reach their fundraising goals. The exact amount you will earn depends on the company you sign up for. But Stratcom UK is looking to hire people who can work from home at least 21 hours a week on a rotating shift pattern. Pay starts from £13 an hour and rises to £16 an hour in London and you’ll get 28 days of holiday a year.
