If you remember, we first fell in love with the Flint and Tinder flannel-lined waxed trucker worn by Pedro Pascal on The Last of Us, which quickly became as recognizable as the man wearing it. Then there was the iconic Carhartt Detroit Duck Jacket from Amazon’s ranch-centered western Outer Range. Now, there’s a new contender for the title of TV’s jacket du jour: the RRL Corduroy-Collar Cotton Deck Jacket worn by Kyle Chandler in HBO’s Lanterns. As a style editor, I’ve tested my fair share of outerwear over the years, and I can tell you there’s a big difference between a jacket that looks good on a hanger and one that actually earns a spot in your rotation.
